Candidate for City Councillor
Maureen Chin is a citizen who has been involved and engaged with various community groups, whose goals are mainly to improve and bring forward the lives of disadvantaged people in Montreal. In addition, she wants more transparency within the administration of the City of Montréal, and greater synergy between the levels of government.
After studying at the Institute Simone de Beauvoir, Maureen Chin became a member of the Concordia University Senate. She also holds certificates in Administration and Applied Real Estate Management from McGill University. She then continued to develop her career in the real estate sector, as counsellor at Royal Lepage Relocation in 1997.
Maureen Chin currently works as a coordinator in the psychiatric unit at the McGill University Health Center (MUHC), after serving as Vice-President of the Employees' Union of the Montreal General Hospital from 2004 to 2007. She was also a founding member of the " Café Boustifable ", which provided meals and apprenticeship to disadvantaged youth.
